Elton John cancels tour in UK

Elton John postponed several dates of his upcoming concerts in UK and Ireland after he was hit with E-coli bacterial infection and influenza. The British musician was confined in the King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone, London, on Friday.

“He has flu and is absolutely fine,” his spokesman said on Sunday.

Elton John’s Face2Face concert in Europe, which costars Billy Joel, is likely to be rescheduled for December 2009.

“All patrons who have purchased tickets for the Face 2 Face concerts on Wednesday, November 4 and Saturday, November 7 at the Key Arena, Seattle and on Tuesday, November 10 at Rose Garden Arena, Portland are being asked to hold on to their tickets until more information is available regarding the proposed rescheduled engagement,” as posted in John’s website.
