Miley Cyrus starts shooting Sex and the City 2 Movie

Miley Cyrus, the Hanna Montana star, was ready for her “Sex and the City” debut shooting.  She was spotted last Friday in New York filming a red carpet scene at the Ziegfeld Theatre.  Cyrus seems to have a transition from teen stardom to more adult roles, a source said.

In this first shoot, she was wearing the metallic dress and swashbuckling knee-length boots, which was as the same outfit of Samantha Jones a.k.a.Kim Cattrall. Catrall, British actress, accessorized the outfit with a hoop necklace, while Cyrus wore a spiked collar.

Multiple reports told that Cyrus was really a big fan of Sex and the City, the HBO series-turned-film franchise — and its trend-setting fashion.

She says,

“One reason why I love the show so much is because of the fashion.  I love the fashion in it and I love the stories of the girls, not of anything else, but of the girls coming together and having lunch and just gossiping and talking.”

Other cast members were also spotted in the shooting such as Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw) and Chris Noth (Mr. Big) and Mario Cantone (Anthony Marantino).

Aside from Miley Cyrus, other celebrities will be joining the cast. They were Penelope Cruz, Tim Gunn and Liza Minnelli.  Reports claimed that Penelope Cruz will play as banker in this comedy movie.

This movie sequel, Sex And The City 2, is expected to be in theatres on May 2010.
